Clinical care you can trust

Why nurse-led matters

A Registered Nurse behind every support you receive

Most NDIS supports are delivered without a clinician anywhere in the picture. At Kalgi Care, our owner is a Registered Nurse — so clinical judgement is built into how we assess, plan, train and supervise.

  • Early warning, not late reaction. Skin integrity, hydration, medication changes and subtle deterioration get noticed by someone qualified to notice them.
  • Care plans that hold up. Your supports are documented, reviewed and adjusted as your needs change — not set once and forgotten.
  • One team, one story. Nursing and daily supports come from the same provider, so nothing falls between the cracks.
  • Confidence for families. You can ask a clinical question and get a clinical answer, from someone who knows your situation.

Getting started

Four simple steps to support

No lengthy assessments before anyone talks to you. We start with a conversation and move at your pace.

  1. Get in touch

Call, email or send an enquiry. You will speak with someone who understands both the NDIS and clinical care.

  2. Free consultation

We meet you at home or over the phone, listen to what you need, and explain honestly what we can and cannot do.

  3. Your care plan

A Registered Nurse builds a plan matched to your NDIS funding, your goals and your routine — including who will support you.

  4. Support begins

Your supports start, with regular check-ins and reviews so the plan keeps up with your life as it changes.

Our promise

What you can hold us to

Four commitments we make to every participant and family who chooses Kalgi Care.

You will always know who is coming to your home, and why. Consistency of staff is not a luxury — for many participants it is the difference between support that works and support that does not.

Consistent, familiar support workersKalgi Care commitment

Clinical decisions are made by a Registered Nurse. If something about your health changes, it is reviewed by someone qualified to act on it — not filed away until the next scheduled visit.

Real clinical oversightKalgi Care commitment

We explain your funding in plain language, we invoice exactly what was delivered, and we will tell you when a support is not the best use of your plan — even when that costs us the work.

Honest, transparent billingKalgi Care commitment

You lead. Your culture, your routine, your preferences and your choices shape the support — and you can change your mind, raise a concern or make a complaint without it affecting your care.

Common questions

The things people ask us first

Do I need to be with a registered provider?

If your plan is NDIA-managed, yes — you must use registered providers. Kalgi Care is registered under NDIS provider number 4-LYEVJIZ.

If you are plan-managed or self-managed, you can choose any provider. Many participants still choose a registered one for the extra auditing, screening and clinical governance that registration requires. Certain supports — including high intensity nursing — can only be delivered by a registered provider.

How quickly can supports start?

For most standard supports we can usually arrange an initial consultation within a few days and begin shortly after your service agreement is signed. Complex nursing supports may take a little longer, because we will not start until we have the right nurse with the right verified competencies for your care.

If your situation is urgent — a hospital discharge, a carer falling ill — call us on 0421 969 429 and we will tell you honestly what we can do and when.

What does it cost?

We charge in line with the current NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits published by the NDIA. You will never be charged above the price limit for your support, and every invoice itemises exactly what was delivered.

Your initial consultation is free and carries no obligation.

Can I choose my support worker?

Yes. We match staff to participants based on your needs, your preferences, your culture and language, and the gender you are most comfortable with. If a match is not working, tell us — we will change it without fuss and without it affecting your care.

Do you provide nursing after hours and on weekends?

Yes. Nursing supports are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including scheduled overnight and weekend visits. General enquiries are answered seven days a week.

Kalgi Care is not an emergency service. In an emergency, always call 000.

Which areas do you cover?

We cover the Sunshine Coast, the hinterland and the Gympie region — 79 suburbs and towns. You can search for your suburb here. If you are just outside our listed area, ask us anyway.
